Super Combo on Travel Channel

I handled location audio for this Travel Channel production. Travel Channel food and destination content is a genre I’ve worked in regularly — the combination of restaurant environments, on-the-street interviews, and enthusiastic hosts eating things on camera creates a lively production audio challenge.

Restaurant sound is notoriously difficult: kitchen noise bleeds from the back, the ambient room buzz of a busy dining room fills every mic, and the hosts are often moving between locations with limited time at each. Managing that with a combination of boom and wireless, and choosing the moments to prioritize each, is the practical work of travel food production audio.
