PetSmart × Hill's Science Diet

I served as location audio recordist on this national commercial campaign for PetSmart in partnership with Hill’s Science Diet — specifically their Sensitive Stomach & Skin product line. The spot featured real pet owners and their dogs in a warm, lifestyle-driven format built around authenticity.

Pet-focused commercial work requires patience and flexibility that purely human productions don’t. Animals don’t take direction, and the production schedule bends around them. Clean dialogue capture when talent is interacting with a dog — managing leashes, treats, unpredictable movement — means staying light, staying ready, and keeping cables out of frame without sacrificing sound quality.
