I served as location audio recordist on Metallica Saved My Life — a documentary that follows fans whose lives were fundamentally changed by Metallica’s music. The film goes deep into personal stories of addiction, grief, identity, and survival, all connected by the thread of one band.

Documentary work like this lives or dies on the intimacy of the interview. When a subject is recounting the hardest moments of their life on camera, the last thing the production can afford is distracting audio — every breath, every pause, every cracked voice has to be captured clean and full. That’s the job.
